Quite the opposite... I loved school when I went, and was in tears the day they took me out. I was the top of my class in every subject. Due to the fact that I do not believe it is possible to get a well rounded education doing "homeshool," I do not consider "homeschooling" to be part of schooling. My mother had multiple college degrees, and IF anyone would have been qualified to do "homeschooling," it would have been her. She failed at it, as do most of those who try. I will agree I had a rough childhood. This is not the place for those details, but I will give you that. Frownie faces are necessary, as I have accepted what God has given to me in life. I am glad I went through what I went through, but I don't have to think it was good or right. You are so right, prayer does work! I am firm believer in it. I appreciate the fact you stated your points without getting deroggatory. By the way, I am a married father of 2 school-aged children. So, to any who may think it, I am not just a bitter 17 year old, mad at the world. I love my life, but I do not love "homeschooling"

I was "homeschooled" and I would NEVER homeschool my kids. I have 3 children who all attend public school. My "homeschooling" life story sounds almost identical to the story that Survivor told, down to the seclusion, large family, "home-ec" classes, and associating with only other "home school" families. I do not look back on my childhood with fond memories or happy stories of fun times I shared with my friends, because I didn't have other friends. I was never allowed to share the activities or milestones such as drama club/theater, sports, band, Homecoming dance, Senior Prom or a Graduation Ceremony to mark the end of those milestones. I truely believe children should be in school with other kids. Im sure there are some rare cases that home school would be best for some kids if done properly, but they are few and far between.
