Hello, I came across this bc after my oldest has been in private daycare thru preschool and public kindergarten and first grade I've been considering homeschooling. A bit about our sitiation, I have two kids, 3y and 7y and we will NOT be having more. There are several reasons for considering homeschool (we move frequently, currently live in a terrible district, I do not agree with most of what public schools teach and think my son needs more challenge). However, I have read all about homeschooling from the parents side and good experiences, etc but specifically wanted to find out about people who regret homeschooling their kids and those who hated being homeschooled. As a parent I want to do what is in the best interest of my kids and would feel awful if they felt trapped like many of you. I have spoken to both my kids about whether or not they'd like to be homeschooled, the oldest would like to be and my youngest will be sent to preschool (bc he gets his energy from other people). All that being said, I'm terrified and looking for advice so please don't bash me. Do any of you think that homeschool is ever appropriate? If so, when and why? If not, why?
